“Law & Order: SVU”
Posted by Linny on May 16, 2013

Seamus was on last nights episode of Law & Order: SVU. Seamus plays Wayne Randolph the son of the victim, Ariel Randolph, whom case centers about. He gave a wonderful performance as a caring son and older brother.

Here is the press release for “Brief Interlude”

Detectives Benson and Amaro (Mariska Hargitay and Danny Pino) are called to the scene when an unconscious woman with signs of physical trauma is found in a river near the Mayor’s home. With the victim in a coma, the squad races to identify and account for her prior whereabouts. They uncover a wild side to an otherwise normal wife and mother, and the investigation reaches an unsettling conclusion. Also starring Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Kelli Giddish (Detective Amanda Rollins) and Tamara Tunie (M.E. Melinda Warner). Guest starring Richard Thomas and Kerry Butler.

I just checked out the promo and Seamus was featured in it. I watch SVU every week but I don’t always watch the promos. If I had watched it last week I could have given you all a heads up. Put don’t fret, you can watch the full episode on NBC or Hulu. Clips of Seamus’ scenes can be found on the tv show video page.

Screencaps have also been added to the gallery. This is Seamus’ second appearence on the show. He has certainly grown alot since his first guest spot.

The Major-League Minors of Summer 2013
Posted by Linny on May 13, 2013

I stumbled upon an interesting article titled The Major-League Minors of Summer 2013.

The big question when it comes to child actors is: Who will be the next Quvenzhané Wallis?

After “Beasts of the Southern Wild” debuted last July, the plucky young Wallis walked off the screen and all the way to an Oscar nomination for best actress. She set the bar high, and got compared to everyone from Shirley Temple to Jodie Foster.

Now, there’s a new crop of talent rising, including Onata Aprile, Charlie Tahan, Joey King, Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, and Sterling Jerins.

In “Before Midnight,” Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick makes an impression while it’s still daylight

As Hank, the son of Ethan Hawke’s Jesse, Davey-Fitzpatrick (“Moonrise Kingdom”) has one meaty scene as the movie opens. Hank and Jesse are at a Greek Island airport at summer’s end to send Hank back alone to his biological mother who has custody — and actively despises his father.

While Hawke frets and tries to get some kind of big emotional good-bye out of the youth, Davey-Fitzpatrick shows incredible restraint: please, Dad, no scenes. Not here. Not now.

The acting duet between father and son is a perfect example of a child of divorce becoming the parent to his own father. Davey-Fitzpatrick’s restraint contrasts with Hawke’s needy rawness. The perfection and naturalism of Davey Fitzpatrick’s acting stands out — if there was a best supporting actor for kids, he’d be a contender.

Seamus is featured in a short film called Illness directed by Jonathan Bucari. Seamus portrays an Autistic boy in the short.

“Illness” is a story about the tragic fate of Timothy, a thirteen-year-old boy with a terrible mental illness, and the ever-growing fear of his parents.

You can follow Illness on Facebook for updates on the project. They are also looking for help to raise money for costs so they can enter Illness into film festivals to raise awareness around the world about mental illness. If you support the cause please feel free to head over to their Indiegogo page and donate. Every little bit helps!

Website and “Northern Borders” World Premiere
Posted by Linny on May 12, 2013

As you can see we have a brand new layout. Everything should be up and running now. I have changed the news system and I added the last of the old updates early this morning.

I have a few updates coming within the next week. I would have added some of the earlier but as I said the the previous post I have been busy with my personal life. I also found out that I had to switch servers so I spent the better part of last week transfering my websites. I’m not finished yet but Seamus’ site is fully up and running on the new server.

During the period April 10th to April 14th Seamus attended the Northern Borders premiere tour. I have added two pictures from the opening night to the gallery.

Site Update
Posted by Linny on May 10, 2013

Sorry, it has been kind of slow here the past month. I have new stuff to add but I’ve been busy with offline life.

As you might had noticed I had a new layout up that has now been removed. I didn’t fully like the Warhol inspired layout I had so I spent yesterday and this morning making this! I’m much more pleased with how this tured out.

I’m currently tweaking this layout and I am going to change the news system so it might be a bit messy during the weekend. I’m hoping to get it up as soon as possible. And when the behind the scenes work is done I will update with some new goodies. So stay with me!
